i got 2 questions:
-is this the sequel, prequel or happen at the same timeline as the trilogy?
-how many % ya think it will reach the date this year?

Overtime will take place immediately after the events of Dusk of the Madness, rejoining Karlie and a zombified Nick in the basement.
For the second question, are you asking how sure I am that it will be out on September 22? If so, pretty darn sure. Unless every single computer explodes the second I touch it, technical issues shouldn't be too bad. I'm also constantly creating backups of the file. I'm in a position where I can focus more on art and animation and still be able to eat with a roof over my head (quarantine aside.)

I've got a question,
how have you been?

I've been doing well. Everything around here is pretty much shut down, and I feel like this is the first time I've been able to really stop and take a breath from the waking world to focus on myself. Thank you for asking :D

@thece @LittleLuckyLink lovely, time to add another thing that excited me in 2020(this year is the best/shittiest year ngl)

Indeed :) I hope the year gets better for you soon.

DON'T DO THAT
DON'T GIVE ME HOPE
--------------------------------
But jokes aside, here are my questions:

1: are you planning to release it both on newground and youtube?
cuz if you are, i hope you're not using any copyrighted song, yt and newgrounds got pretty annoying about these over the years, btw one of the episodes on yt are missing, probably gets removed by one of the yt flawed bots.

2: is it for REAL this time? no postponements? no next year ? (i know it's 3 questions in one, but....you get the message)

3: do you have any idea how impactful you were in my early days of animating? like ALOT, you're like my favorite one, i know i didn't changed much but, i just wanted to tell you that <3

Ahoy! lolol
1. Yes! I do plan on putting it on Youtube, whether it be on my channel or another. I've taken those issues into account, and am happy to say that about half of Overtime's soundtrack is original music created for the animation, and the other half is music solely from the NG audio portal :)
But yes, Day of the Madness is blocked in a bunch of countries, unfortunately.
2. For really real. I had planned to be fully-focused on Overtime around mid-April, but got a few weeks head start. I don't want to jinx any crazy catastrophic events, but otherwise, I'm 100% positive.
3. Also hey, thank you! It really means a lot. I actually went through and watched a few of your newer animations the other day. I like how you've kept a consistent charm to your work and continue to do so after all these years :D

Hi
1 Will any character have a redesign?
2 Will the animation be different?
3 How is everything?
I am looking forward to this with great enthusiasm, I am sure the wait will be worth it.

Hello
1: A few of the characters are gonna look a bit different, but nothing too drastic. (Well, with the exception of one unfortunate character.)
2: I'd say that the animation has drastically improved from previous episodes. I'm doing a lot more work with cinematic camera angles and atmospheric effects this time around, so it should be all-around good stuff.
3: Great, thank you! It's wonderful to be animating again after so long.

oh would you look at that.
wish you luck man!

Thank you!

Hi!
1. What are the plans for overtime work?
2.Connor survived?
3.will be shown and why did the zombie apocalypse begin?
4. What are you planning to release the Dusk of the madness overtime date?
5 dusk of the madness overtime coming out next year?

Hello
1. I plan to work on Overtime as much as I can. I'd like to have the movie finished by the end of August just so I can focus on promoting and finalizing.
2. Yeah, some folks have pointed him out in the trailer I posted several years back, so I guess it's not a secret anymore :P I will say that he is in very bad shape.
3. Somewhat. I've thrown in a lot of implications of how the outbreak began mostly in the background. I may focus on the beginnings in a future installment.
4. September 22, 2020
5. Nope, this year, in five months and one week.

2020 will be a good year. Before the coronavirus mutate and turn people into zombies

Right? Some of this stuff feels a bit too real.

More questions
1. If Connor is alive, does that mean that the zombie in the jester's hat bit him?
2.Carly killed Nick?
3.The biker who was shot by Connor will become a zombie?
4.will there be a remake for dusk of the madness?

Those first two are a bit too plot sensitive to reveal right now, but I will say that Connor and the Jester zombie's fight will be shown.
3. Connor shot that biker in the head, so he won't be coming back.
4. I don't see a need to re-make any of these. If I make any more after Overtime, they'll be either spin-offs set in the same universe, or perhaps even character prequels showing how certain characters got to where they ended up. For example, what led to Karlie crashing into the supermarket, how Veronica got to the island and how all of that fell apart, or maybe even the bikers and how they have been dealing with the whole apocalypse scenario. The sky's the limit.
Please keep in mind, those are just ideas right now, and I don't have solid plans for any of those. Just ideas..

DAMN, it´s been so long since i see your videos i was like 10 or 12? now i´m 19, i don´t remember what I REMEMBER is that wait so much for you, when i see this message i go to your acount to see if it was the real one, i almost scream and going crazy, you are most of all (i think) the reason why we like madness i side of most of other animators like that guy who made some ninja madness, and xionic madness those were good times, anyway thank you for coming back, hope the journey wasn´t so painful am very happy that you´re fine, GOOD LUCK and hope you keep making madness, a a rough hug for you <3

Thank you! It's crazy to think these animations had such an impact, I was only 12 when I made the first one haha. Thank you very much for the continued support <333

And more questions
1.in part 4 will be smart zombies? Who can still control themselves?
2. Will a vodka biker die?
3. Will Carly find a vaccine for the virus?
4. In which program do you make such animations? Which version?
5. How is your health?

1. Some of the zombies may be a bit smarter than other zombies, but they'll never be normal or alive. I can say that there will be some zombies that behave differently.
2. Too plot sensitive
3. Too plot sensitive
4. I used Flash 8 to make about half of the animation, and I'm using CS6 to make the other half. I've also been making use of Photoshop CS6 for backgrounds, and audacity for sound effects mixing/recording. I believe my friends used Fruity Loops to make the music.
5. My health is pretty well actually. I've been staying inside, eating and sleeping properly, etc.

this is my question:
did you become obligated or because you wanted to?
I loved your series as a child :3

A little bit of both, I'll explain-
The ending to Dusk was not what I had intended. It was honestly a bit rushed and I had to cut it short as I had run out of time. The ending didn't sit well with me, and about a year and a half later, I announced production on Overtime which was to be released on Madness Day 2012. Overtime quickly developed from a shorter "extended ending" to its own separate story, and I ran out of time once again, only posting a trailer that year. In the years to follow, tons of chaotic personal life mixed with technology issues took my attention away. I could have cancelled it at any point, but I already had so much work done on it, and I was still anxious to finish it one day. So in short, it's a passionate obligation. Too much other stuff going on got in the way, and not even just my career as an artist which was also somewhat difficult to maintain.

I'm actually about to lost me shit,I can feel it in the air, this is going to see the light of day, been waiting since I was 11 yrs old and for you my man I'll wait longer if needed, thank you for you continued dedication for all these years.
Question1:what will be your next project in animation(if there is one) after Overtime?
Question2:how are times in your place during this Covid nonsense?

:3 it's looking very promising, and even I find it entertaining despite being very critical of my own work.
1: I'm not entirely too sure, to be perfectly honest. I've got some ideas for other Madness/zombie animations, perhaps spin-offs or character-focused prequels, but those are just ideas right now, so we'll see :D
2: Strange, quiet, and tense. Stay at home orders are being enforced by law unless it's for something vital or if you're an essential worker. I'm fortunate enough with my job that I'm offered some paid time off in light of all of this. I don't really go out that much these days anyway, so it hasn't really affected me.

You are an inspiration to me, but here are my questions
Question 1: You will release more episodes after dusk of the madnes
Question 2: Have you been okay?

Thank you!
1: After Overtime, you mean? Potentially, but it's not certain yet. They probably wouldn't continue where Overtime left off, though.
2: Yes, great, actually, thank you for asking :)

Glad to see you're still alive n well link! heheh the screenshots really remind me of the old projects people used to do here n there back in like 2007 - 2011, some great shit, i'd recommend to keep posting em! i guess i got a question or two for ya aswell ;D

1.) (knock on wood) but how many frames are we talkin so far actually? i know since you're using abit of the ole ' Flash 8 & CS5, but compiled together how many would you say OR is shown? :D

2.) are the sound effects also custom too? like the gun sounds n music? i seen you're using some great orginal NG portal music which ALWAYS sounds fuckin great lmao, but i was just abit curious, LOL like the OG gun sounds or some new ones? lemme know!

3.) will there be any REACCURING characters from dusk of the madness aswell? or maybe some from the island that come up? or even new ones?

4.) heh that notion you had of putting all your flash / animation skills to the test sounded really intriguing, i know it might be abit plot sensitive inregards to the story but, can you disclose any elements OF flash itself that you're implementing? like how you said you were using photoshop n stuff?

5.) asfar as sprite work, is there also any new characters or effects that we haven't seen before? aside from the same ole same old? like the old blood spurts n krinkels bloods? lmao or is that all original aswell?

6.) lastly, while i was EXACTLY a fan of these guy's but i wouldn't be lying if i didn't say their characters looked fucking badass as shit, do you still keep incontact with the OG's like Slipz10, djtrickym, Smotez, Alpha-Nuva, Fatshark, Delta66, etc?

Thanks, and keep kickin ass man, life sure does suck most of the fuckin time but... i'm glad these hobbies of ours can keep us going & strong for so many years,

Ahoy, old bean! 'Tis good to see you're still around. I definitely intend to post regularly, perhaps even weekly as I intended to do a while back. A lovely set of questions, too, thank you.

1: To answer your question with shocking accuracy, 28,094 frames so far, running at 33 frames per second. (The 33 FPS thing was something I saw Krinkels doing way back in the day so I just figured that was "Madness Standard.") But yeah that's like a little over 14 minutes? Jeez, I guess doing the math actually disproves my "15-20 minute" theory. Now I'm certain it'll be well over 20 minutes, because some more stuff still has to happen lmao. Maybe 25 minutes?

2: Some of the music is unreleased and only exists within Overtime, and others can be found here on NG. As for sound effects, I'm using pretty much most of the same sounds I've used for years, importing sound libraries from .fla to .fla and gradually adding more. I think I dug into some old Half Life or Counterstrike sounds more recently. Most practical sound effects, such as ambient noises, shuffling, etc, I've recorded and mixed on my own. The zombie sounds are also entirely my voice acting this time around (like in Dusk.)

3: I'm comfortable saying that every single character from Dusk of the Madness will appear in Overtime in some form or fashion. I decided not to add any new characters this time around- survivors, at least..

4: No problem! For one thing, I'm going crazy with gore. I'm putting a lot more detail into it, rather than just slapping a gunshot wound sprite over whatever happens. Chunks of brain, teeth, flesh, etc will be EVERYWHERE. Skulls will be smashed in, guts will be ripped out, the whole nine yards. Other stuff will be atmospheric/weather effects. I've been using photoshop to take advantage of rendering blurs and lens flares. Photoshop also comes in handy when a whole bunch of zombies start piling up on the screen, just so it's not so hard on flash since those zombie sprites tend to be a bit hefty.

5: I guess I kinda answered this one in #4, what with the gibs/gore and whatnot. I'm putting some more attention to 3-D effects (just working within Flash) All the gibs and gore are original, either drawn up in Overtime or fresh for this one. I've rolled out a new series of zombie sprites, blood, gore, etc.

6: Definitely! I haven't spoken to a few of them in a while, but I try to catch up every now and again. I'm working closely with Trevor (Delta66,) who has provided quite a lot to the series. He drew the original zombie sprites, and is drawing some more as well. Alex (djtrickym) is also providing some art.

Thanks again, super dope questions :D

Hi, here are some more questions 1. How did Connor Survive if another crowd of zombies was already close? 2.Nick died? 3.will Carly have memories? 4.will there be a scene as a patient in Lee got an experiment on this virus? 5.will there be a biker story? 6. Will Carly and Connor and 2 Bikers survive?

Lmao I said I wouldn't answer anything too plot sensitive and pretty much all of those are major plot points. Well, #4 isn't too revealing, as it was a large chunk of the trailer I posted. That's all part of the intro, but later on in the movie we'll be venturing to the depths of the lab where we'll learn the fate of a few other test subjects. #5, a biker story? The bikers will be involved and we'll see them throughout, yes, but the story won't be centered around them necessarily.

Here are some more questions.
1. Will the characters that appear in episode 4 be changed?
2.In episode 4 they will show how the virus was made?

1: They'll look a bit different, some more than others
2: It won't show how the virus was made, but within the labs will be evidence of what was intended to happen, and various side-effects. A lot of these points won't be very focal, as the main story doesn't call for too many flashbacks to the creation of the virus. It's a lot more of an action/exploration/escape type of movie, rather than informative.

@napstapro115 @LittleLuckyLink Oh don't press urself too much
if you don't mind I will say another question
do you think it will fit into today standarts? because now with whitehank every animation that not have that semi realistic style (wich makes collabs boring because you are seeing the same style, and the cool stuff about collabs is seeing other styles) is getting rated as mediocre - bad

That's a good question. I haven't really kept up too well with newer Madness tributes, but I did just watch the WhiteHank collabs for context. Super impressive stuff. I think that Overtime should fit in with that standard to at least some degree. I'm honestly treating Overtime like a short film at this point, imagining how I'd do things if it were a live-action film and trying to recreate that vision as best as I can in Flash. I'm still keeping the fact that it's a Madness tribute at heart so the conventional Madness-feel will still be present throughout. But yeah as I mentioned before, I'm doing a lot more in the atmospheric and lighting departments to give it a somewhat "realistic" feel.

@napstapro115 @LittleLuckyLink ok thank you
I still prefer the old style tho, as I said the realistic one make me bored hehe but I know a ton of people like it

anyways have a nice day!

Not to worry, there should be a good balance of both once I wrap things up. You as well :)

1. Will there be 2 ending 4 episodes?
2. Why are you sure 092220 is the exact date?
3.will there be a military in a zombie episode 4?

1. Overtime will be one episode.
2. Because it's Madness Day.
3. Military zombies will return.
