Lmfao this is absolutely great. Extremely well made, I love how the song instills anxiety with its well-structured wall of sound from the vocals. A banger track indeed.

Aalasteir responds:

Thank you! I am extremely happy! It's amazing how time always moves forward, so much stuff happens it's important to cherish the small moments.

This is awesome! Definitely creates a good wall of sound and immerses the listener in an atmospheric and cinematic adventure! I especially like the bass, and the tastefully added chimes and tones. It provokes a brooding sensation, with much mystery behind it. Definitely inspires me...

OrangeFluff responds:

Woah, thank you!
I'm glad you liked it :3

Sinister and gripping. Great sound, and the introductions for each instrument throughout the song were smooth and satisfying. I'd say some parts of the first half seemed to drag a tad, but the explosion that is the second half definitely makes up for it. Great work!

Banana-head responds:

Thanks for the review! Glad you liked!

Ohai I was just about to message you about these. Thanks again <333333
I love this track so much and it's a regular on at least a few of my playlists.

slipz10 responds:

That means so much more than you think <3 Probably my best work from 2012 thanks to your directions

Awesome! Very atmospheric, especially with some good headphones. I really like how while both halves of the song are different in tone, they still keep a good flow and encompass similar emotions. I really like the first jazzy half, and the second, more peaceful half serves as a good answer to it. I also like how you slowed down the tempos at the end of each section. (Forgive my lack of proper musical terminology.) Anyway, good stuff! Thanks for using my painting as the cover! I think that this song is definitely fitting. I'll have to show this song to my friend that I gave the painting to, I'm sure she'd dig it!

When I made the saw your art I thought about how nice it would be to be outdoors. The way the blues and pinks wrap around the sun I thought has a dreamy type feel to it. Thanks for the comment!

Very nice. I like the echo and other effects that give this song a pretty atmospheric sound. I could definitely see it in an icy level of a video game. I could also see myself casually listening to this on a nice snowy day. This song kinda reminds me of the theme song for the Phendrana Drifts areas in the first Metroid Prime game. Very well done.

GundorSound responds:

I'm so happy to hear that you would compare my song to one in a great game like MP. Though I'm not very familiar with the Metroid series, I just now gave Phendrana Drifts a listen and got goosebumps, so thank you for turning me on to a new soundtrack. And thank you for saying such kind words about my song!

I'd have to agree with James that the vocals in the first half seem a bit quiet. On that note, I think some of the "Go!" and "Come on!" lines seem a bit weak- like they could be said with a bit more energy. It kinda sounds like someone reading off a script. Not the worst delivery, but it still does kinda stand out to me.
Instrumentally, I think you have a super fucking solid piece here. The bass in the second half kinda took me by surprise. It was jazzy, intense, and I loved how guttural it sounded, and how it carried the direction of the latter half of the song. I'm not a musician in the slightest sense, but I feel like the mastering could have been a bit smoother. It sounds a little "compressed," primarily when dealing with the higher synths in the first half, and at the end of the second half.
Those minor details aside, you've definitely got something good going here. I went back and looked at some of your older work from only one year ago, and you've made fantastic improvements. Keep it up!

AceTAD responds:

Thanks! Honestly maybe was the voice too bassy?

Two awesome musical inspirations beautifully crafted into this composition. I love how the first half keeps the tension at full-throttle, and the second half brings a more than satisfying, even if somewhat brief, climax. I'll have to check out some of your newer stuff, but this is definitely a great first impression of your musical portfolio.

AntonM responds:

Thanks man! hope you like my newer tracks :)

Nice! As soon as that synth kicked in, I was captivated. The bass kick really brought the atmosphere out as well! Could definitely see myself hiking up a mountain through a blizzard to this :) Well done!

ScottJacob responds:

Thanks a bunch! Happy hiking

Not bad, I thought it sounded pretty good, but at times I felt that the bass (the wub-wubs) didn't sync up too well with the overall song and somewhat diluted the effect. I think it's just a matter of timing the fade-ins. (I'm not a musician so excuse my poor vocab.) But the parts where the bass is quicker such as 3:07 to 3:21 sound pretty good.
You're definitely getting there though man.

Phat-Rat responds:

Thanks for the nice review! This song was a bit tricky to work on, I had a lot of issues with it, but I will be releasing a much better remake soon.
