No clue what someone below was complaining about with it looking too "eerie" or why that would even begin to take away from the beauty in the first place. Eerie or not, this is yet another magnificent work. I could sit and watch the lights change for hours, probably. I love that the rain isn't too overpowering or pronounced. I can almost hear the raindrops. I think that an opportunity was missed in bringing a subtle ripple to the reflections of light in the foreground, which would have probably added to the atmosphere here. That aside, you definitely have a knack for capturing snapshots from life and executing them beautifully in pixel format.

moertel responds:

Thanks so much for your feedback! For the reflections I was aiming to let them look like wet concrete, not necessarily puddles; which I guess is why adding ripples didn't even occur to me. This piece was a hard one in general because of all those different textures. Still learning in that regard, so suggestions like these are much appreciated.

The colors here really pop! I love them! Is that a lighthouse? The small details such as the light hitting the rocks and part of the road, to the shooting stars, really put this piece up above and beyond. Amazing work.

moertel responds:

It is a lighthouse, indeed. :D It always makes me happy whenever someone notices all the little details.

I think that this is definitely my favorite of your pieces so far. This one is absolutely stunning. It's very captivating and immersive. Sunsets have always been difficult for me, but you've captures it just about perfectly here, with just the right balance of blue. My soul is at ease as I stare into the heavenly rays of light that shine between the trees, accentuated with the falling leaves around them. The traffic in the background is such a nice touch, and I love how everything loops so cleanly. Amazing.

Absolutely stunning. The colors, the contrast, the reflection of the lights against the water. Everything is so wonderful.

LOVE IT! I'm absolutely obsessed with this movie, and I love how well you were able to capture the smaller details in this piece. The item selection below is pretty great, but I also like how their size in comparison to the room that they're in emphasizes the claustrophobia of the film. I'd say you nailed the Gameboy color scheme, too.

Love it. I love the relief of the clear blue sky above the clouds/smog of the city. The city itself is incredibly detailed, and the way you emphasized the distance of the buildings with color is almost hypnotic.

HeavyPxls responds:

I'm glad you like it ! ^_^

One thing I really like about your work is how dynamic and creative you can get with the perspectives and angles. The Octorok's size, especially in comparison to Deku Link, really shines in the perspective you chose to go with here.

Orlek-sketch responds:

Thank you very much!! ^-^

Great atmosphere and use of depth with the trees. I love the colors in the sky, especially the top right corner.

I've felt before as if some of your works would look GREAT as album covers, specifically for black metal/ambient black metal. I'll have to check Stiriah out, haven't heard them before. Anyway, this is beautiful. The watercolor looks magnificent here, especially in how the trees were defined in the distance and the clouds in the sky. I feel like you really nailed the contrast here, and looking at this painting makes me feel as if I'm staring into another world.
Great job, and congrats!

I am able to connect with both the title, and the contrast of the work of art itself. Nice.

Nightmares, dreams, and everything between.
