I really love the coloring and contrast here, but what really shines are the potential concepts or meanings behind this piece. Isolation is something I frequently experience, typically by choice. I've found both comfort and tribulation with myself, the idea of myself, and myself as viewed by others, which I could view as the figure and her two shadows in this image. There could also be an internal struggle of which image is the "real" one.. Anyway, very interesting work here. Definitely catches the eye visually and keeps the viewer hooked with its meanings.

Wow, thank you so much!!

Super cool, the angle, depth and colors really bring this image to life.

eatslugs responds:

Thank you! :)

Good shading and detail, especially in regards to contrast and also his beard. I like how you captured his eyes. His monologue scene in the movie is super cool, as he doesn't blink throughout the entire thing. You captured the menacing, piercing nature of his eyes in that scene very well. Nicely done.

BoyPorcelain responds:

Ahh you're too kind, yeah i made the whites of his eyes a bit brighter than they actually are in the movie as i really wanted them to POP, thanks for the comment! :)

Glad he finally got that hotdog! Very nice work here, I love the smaller details on his clothing.

Very nice atmosphere. I like how the colors are somewhat muted, yet really pop in an almost watercolor fashion. The loop, from what I can see, is seamless and very well done. I can totally relate to the aesthetic of this image, down to the anchor pillows and succulents. I don't exactly have a nook, but with some furniture adjustments, boom, I've got something close to a nook. I've definitely been cherishing these snowy days off from work as well. Been trying the napping thing, but unfortunately I tend to overdo it by several hours.. Anyway, keep up the good work! This really encompasses a dreamy atmosphere that is tied up neatly by the subtle details such as the shadows from the window and the shimmers of light. It'd definitely be cool to see more of these relaxing moving images.

Zaccura responds:

Haha, yeah the “waking up before it’s basically night time” part of a nap can be elusive sometimes… one of the reasons I only recently dared to re-try it. XD
I’m really glad you like the artwork, and that the loop is good. You’ve no idea how long I spent squinting at the frames to see if the snowflakes matched at the beginning and end lmao.
It was fun to play with animation so I’ll prolly give it a go some more in future illustrations.
Thanks for the comment! :D

Love this. To me, it brings back some good ol' VampireFreaks nostalgia. I love the colors, contrast, and the overall gritty feel.

I 100% want this on a tapestry. This is absolutely stunning. The color scheme is hypnotic.

Shamfoo responds:

Thank you! Maybe one day!

Great sense of depth with the city. Loving the shading and contrast in areas of the foreground, too.

Another great piece! I love the sunset colors here, so cozy. Something about a snowy landscape really brings me warmth, oddly enough. The snow is also very smooth, but I feel that the loop cuts short a bit too soon.

Wow. Super immersive. You're really taking pixel art to another level. The way the light shines across the shape of the earth is mesmerizing. I also really love how you drew the moon here.

Nightmares, dreams, and everything between.
