Love it! There's a delicate and balanced level of grittiness in the shading which blends wonderfully with the colors that pop in all of the right places. I've always enjoyed the blending of futuristic/urban environments with nature, which you've done really well here. ALSO KITTIEEEESSSSS. I count six, and they're all magnificent and deserve all of the cuddles. I almost missed the lizard too! So many neat details packed in here.

Phorgwizard responds:

6 kitties :3 I was fostering them back then, minus the one on my lap, she's still with me. Now I have 7 gremlins looking for homes hahaha

Yikes, I wish I could have passed this info on to you sooner, but if you email them a data request and cite GDPR, they'll give you a free trial and let you access your files for free. It worked for me and a bunch of others. Either way, I'm glad you were able to get some of your files back. Mine were all backed up on other devices anyway, but it didn't hurt to check.

Anyway, a quick review of the actual art:

This is pretty neat. I like the organic colors that you used here. It makes me think of either an insect's body, or perhaps some exotic tropical plant that will either kill someone, or give them super powers. Or possibly a tropical insect/plant hybrid that does both? Also gives me rorschach vibes.

NerRavine responds:

Yeah, I learned about the free trial a few hours after I forked over my $5 or however much they asked for. Hopefully your comment might help someone else avoid that little fee. Photobucket is a shitshow.

And thank you. Amazing that you can see so much in this photo.

freshavacado!

Loving the shading here. All of your food works get me huuuungry.

maruki responds:

hehehe thanks a lot! I get hungry too!

The colors are absolutely beautiful, and I love the aesthetic of the faint pattern in the background and the shape of the clouds. The lighting is also really well done. Fantastic work!

Akromaly responds:

Thank you! Colors are my favorite thing to work with! 💚

Loving the poses and the motion in this piece. I'm the one dabbing.

I used some meme poses as references

Very nice. I'm a big fan of windmills and their aesthetic among vast, grassy fields such as this. I love the detailing, as well as the contrast of the distant, vibrant clouds as opposed to the darker, stormy clouds that are rolling in.

TheRaspyCupcakesCan responds:

Thank you!! I feel the same way, seeing wind turbines during road trips is almost surreal, I just love the way the massive structures look in the middle of nature.

Classic. I always loved the mask on the single cover despite the fact that it wasn't really used too much afterward. This is a neat interpretation of it and I enjoy the Warhol vibes.

sushiisiu responds:

thank you !!!! haha it looks so dorohedoro im a little sad they didnt use it much

This makes me so happy, very well done! Each era was illustrated beautifully and I love the added touch of having the records change as well.

sushiisiu responds:

thank you so much!! T__T

Imperfect Cell was probably my all-time favorite DBZ villain. His voice, his insect-like origins and earlier behaviors, and Bruce Faulconer's hauntingly slow, industrial music will stick with me forever. He was a different type of villain, opting to disturbingly drain his victims of their lives rather than merely blasting them into oblivion. I didn't really care for Cell as a villain once he started "perfecting" himself. He was just a regular jerk. In this incarnation, we was a literal monster.

This drawing captures those feelings wonderfully. The way you used the contrast of his dark, staggeringly tall figure against a bright, sunny day is an excellent way of conveying his terror. I will say that his upper torso seems a bit too wide, and the positioning of his mouth seems slightly off. However, the coloring and shading is especially stylistic and admirable. Great work, keep it up!

EricRedd responds:

I couldn't describe Cell any better then this. Hell even gave Faulconer a Dub, you a real one my guy.

And thanks for the critique as well

There's so much detail, the composition is absolutely immaculate, and it's as if there are many worlds within this piece. Absolutely breathtaking, magical, and very well put together. The color palette here is so satisfying to look at, and I feel like I could spend hours starting at this.. which is why I'm especially excited for my print of this to arrive! I pretty much fell in love with it the moment I saw it, and despite the fact that I have very little to no wall-space left, I knew I had to have a print of this. Again, bravo. Extra bonus cool points for the accompanying passage/description you've written below.
