Plastic bag painting you say?! Well, the colors came out absolutely fabulous, and I love how there's an impression of a stairway to the right. I'd love to see a video of this plastic bag method!

Very very nice. Some of your work is reminiscent of some of the art from the Silent Hill series. I really love the grotesque nature of this and the color palette.

Another fabulous piece with impeccable detail and pen work. Your use of white gel pens is always just right, never too much, never too little. It's always great to see traditionally made artwork, and it's clear that you know what you're doing. Keep it up!

Awe thank you so much! Really appreciate that

Nice! Super creative and awesome colors. Loving the concept behind this one.

Gyatt Dayum son. I honestly would have had no idea what to do with those pixels, but you created a pretty damn cool piece right here. I love how it's still pixel art too.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Thanks. That sprite is inspired by shmup games of the 90s fyi.

Nifty. A lot can be taken away from the sheer scale of the madness as opposed to the house. The dark and cold environment furthers this. Great work with the shading and coloring as well.

The linework, coloring, and shading are spot on. I love the sense of obscurity behind the cloak. Do you intend on finishing the background? I'd be really excited to see a complete version.

nathanandersonart responds:

Thanks so much!

Since the figure is pretty detailed, I'm going to keep the background as a line drawing- my plan with these is to have a description to pair along with the image. :)

Beyond the composition, to the infinite realm of interpretation, this is truly a magnificent piece. Thank you.

Neat! Props to how seamlessly the hands appear to be floating. Keep it up!

Rukuha-san responds:

Thank you for noticing! Before that I hadn't really paid attention to the fact that hands are usually a little farther from the torso, so I had to place them at an angle to make wrist seem farther away.

It's always incredibly refreshing to see more traditionally made art on the front page- not to trash on digital art, but there's a certain type of magic that comes from something created without the ease of ctrl+Z.
I really like how this turned out. The bottles look damn near real, particularly the blue one. You really nailed the opacity and contrast on the green one as well. The cloth texture and shading is also fantastic. The fact that you maintained a consistency with the light source between each of the shadows and reflections is also incredibly admirable. Keep it up!

Nightmares, dreams, and everything between.
