Neat! Props to how seamlessly the hands appear to be floating. Keep it up!

Rukuha-san responds:

Thank you for noticing! Before that I hadn't really paid attention to the fact that hands are usually a little farther from the torso, so I had to place them at an angle to make wrist seem farther away.

I'm so happy to see Mr. Breen's face on the front page of Newgrounds. Solid work.

jouste responds:

thanks! I had a feeling he'd be appreciated her more than other places.

I always look forward to seeing new works from you. This is absolutely stunning, probably one of my top favorites of yours. You definitely have an eye for lens-flares, and it really shows here. Your color palette is so pleasing to the eyes. I think the only thing here that stands out to me is the rhythm of the water breaking the shoreline- it seems a bit fast. Aside from that easily ignored observation, the wind and glimmering of the water near the horizon is spot-on! Great touch with the kitty too, definitely makes me feel at home :)

Kldpxl responds:

Thank you very much!

Phobotech pretty much nailed it with his review below. This is fantastic. "Dizzying" is a great word to describe this. It gives me that same feeling I get when I'm standing in front of an enormous skyscraper. The color is pretty darn spot-on too. The only thing I can think of that stands out may be a conflicting level of contrast between the backs of some of the knights walking up, and what I may see in some of those darker rocky areas closer to the view. Perhaps specifically in the lower left corner near your logo. I feel like some of the shading in the rocks could be a bit darker. The shading on the rocks further away, however, is impeccable considering the distance from the viewer it would actually be.
Either way, this is super captivating, and very well made. Great job!

Kayas-Kosmos responds:

Thank you! And great critique, too. This could definitely use a push with the contrast nearer the foreground.

Very nice work, especially with the color palette. You made some very good artistic choices with this one, especially regarding the contrast with the background. Keep it up!

Ioruko responds:

Thank you! I had to come up with a new palette for the background, so it was a good practice too

Nice! Looks very clean. I really like the lack of pure black in this illustration, and how you managed to pull off shading without it. ALttP's Link was always one of my favorites. I think it would be neat to see an illustrated version of him with his maxed out equipment towards the end of the game- as I'm pretty positive that there's no official art of him in that state.. ;D
Also, is your username a reference to the Kakriko Village guard from LoZ: OOT that you give the Keaton mask to?

FeedMeBadThings responds:

Thank you! There is official art of Link with all his equipment, but it's the LoZ Link. I always love when fans draw art of Link hauling around all of his equipment, so maybe I'll do the same eventually.

And yes. My username is a reference to the "kee...something" mask that you give the Kakariko guard. Nice catch!

The atmosphere of this image and the center of light really pull me in. The details in the darker area are such satisfying treats for zooming in on the full image. Fantastic work, and great use of contrast.

ALSO O HAI GRANFALOON THANKS FOR THE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
Great to see you're still uploading here!!

Granfaloon responds:

Thanks for the comment!
Hope to bring some good new memories with the new stuff I´m working on!

Nice work and great use of color. I find it most fascinating how this is a digital work- I would have been certain it was traditionally painted if I hadn't read otherwise.

grillhou5e responds:

Thank you very much! Yeah, I just use a lot of traditional painting strokes/ techniques and some texture blending to give it that look.

My future home please. I love the colors in this one, they're an interesting contrast from your usual brilliantly vibrant pieces. This one really captures the expansion of night as the sun's final twinkle fades over the horizon, and overall makes for a relaxing and solitary moment.

AnasAbdin responds:

thanks! yes I wanted to put aside the vibrant palette for a change. I hope you get what you want and live where you want ☺

Another great one! The speed is pretty much spot on, and I absolutely love the lens flare. As usual, the colors are on point and look delicious.

AnasAbdin responds:

thank you!
