Watched it a few more times.

Like I told you, much better than I expected, and a lot better than the original Madness Hunt. The movements were smoother, art improved over the course of the movie, very nice. It had a few stylish scenes, such as the Deputy with the darts and all, and of course the part where he comes through the elevator.
I'll admit, there were some movements you still coulda improved on, mainly just add a bit more easing, so it looks a bit better you know. Also, there were some parts of the movie where it felt a bit plane, mainly with the earlier backgrounds.

The backgrounds did get better though, and the perspective you used on them was honestly pretty damn good, in some ways even better than Krinkels. Like you got a great angle on the backgrounds, made them look pretty 3-D, really liked that.

One other thing, I wasn't too much of a fan of the offscreen kills, you know, the kills that aren't really shown, but you see a bunch of numbers appear in the kill count thing? Those were a bit disappointing, but thankfully there were much more on screen kills in this episode.

But yes, it was pretty neat, the humor of it made it stand out from some of the other madness toons, as well as provided comic relief.

Basically, just work on adding a bit more to the backgrounds, like more shading, maybe a few hints of texture, that type of stuff. And of course, work on the easing. Other than that, you've got a pretty nice movie here.

Crazymonkey154 responds:

Thank you my good man. I'll work on those later. And yes, the earlier backgrounds sucked.

Holy shit Alpha.

Damn man, this is serious inspiration for me, I'm also trying to do non-madness shit. You really fucking nailed it, this movie was great. The art was fantastic, and what stood out a lot was the coloring, you made an excellent choice in choosing colors. Very smooth, nice style of animation, and it's about a fucking ass kicking game too.

I seriously hope to see more movies like this from you Alpha, you got sum trU skillz dawg

Alpha-Nuva responds:

shit niggy, how'd i pass this review up? tanks.

Motherfuck

At least you got this big meaty bastard out, you showed me a few interesting scenes on MSN. It got pretty damn cool, the art got better and better, so did the overall animation. It got really neat around the part where he stormed in to Mr. Cowboy Faggot's office and Alpha voiced his ass off. Then there was the falling part, I loved how he used his hat as a parachute. Mainly everything after that was what really caught my attention.

Good to at least see it released, even if it did take like 3 years or so.

slipz10 responds:

Thanks for the review. And like I said, 3 years in the making, half a years work.

better than I expected.

I'm actually more amazed that you were able to get so many parts, it seems that most people, these days are extremely lazy.

I actually did enjoy the collab, I enjoyed some parts more than others, mainly the parts that weren't just some guy running into a room going on a rampage were the ones that stood out. The regular ones were pretty good either way, often some pretty good animation with some neat kills.

Clearly a lot of effort was put into this collab.
Nice work guys

DIMB responds:

thank you LLL, nice to hear that from you, and yeah, original clips everytime are most liked from people, but I hope we did a good work and amazed people with this.

Zunder is obviously the star of the collab.

The only person that was good was Zunder, Zunder's parts were entertaining, some were humorous, and they were overall animated pretty good. Not too much to say about Zunder, except that he was pretty good in this collab. However, Zunder, please learn guns, mainly the AK-47, your character put the magazine in the grip, which makes no sense at all. I know its a pretty small error but it bugged the hell out of me.

The rest of the parts were really bad. The first thing that struck me when I watched the other collab parts was that no one can tell the difference from a right hand and a left hand. Seriously, Zunder was the only person who knew what a right hand looked like and what a left hand looked like. The other parts introduced us to some mutated Madness characters with tiny heads and two left hands. Pretty disturbing. That's gotta be the thing that pisses me off the most, the fact that people don't have any knowledge of perspective or the fact that there's a such thing as right and left. ugh..

Aside from the hand issue, those other parts were still pretty bad. The slow awkward movements, the choppy and completely inaccurate physics of weaponry, everything was bad.

The only reason that I'm giving this 5 stars is because Zunder was able to make a few great parts, unfortunately the collab was dragged down and sunk by the other parts.

Cascadia responds:

well, thanks :D i guess since this is one of the the first proper times animating madness for all of us, some things could have been done better. and again, getting the magazine in the right place on the AK lol

the review really means a lot coming from you and the madness you've done ;)

That was nice

Nicely done. Short delightful animation featuring all of the greatest NG characters.
I also noticed Joe Zombie in there, which made me happy that someone else still remembers the series.

Jazza responds:

yeah man. while i dont care much for it now i remember in my early animating days it was like, THE animation. a big inspiration back then when i couldnt animate. unfortunately the series didnt progress too much and rob moved on to bigger and better things.

anyhow thanks man glad you liked it :)

lmao the movement.

The movement was pretty great. Twitching all over the place because of movement or static of the microphone. Pretty gr8

kanamomashouse responds:

Lmfao. Thanks link.

Pretty nice, but..

That was a pretty smooth animation. Your custom sprites are pretty great, and basically the entire thing was well drawn. The one thing I liked about the original was that it was more relevant to its name. It was about Hank from the preloader going after the proceed button, that was awesome. This, however, was just a fight with the same characters.
Either way, it was nice.

LYRONMARTIS responds:

True there really is no story related to this one, just wanted to go a lil bit more Madness where sometimes shit dont make sense :D
Thanks for you review, also watched your flash btw !

The song is stuck in my head again

It was like 3 years ago when I went through a phase of listening to that song over and over again. It's really a neat song.. But besides that, the animation was surprising. You really have improved quite a bit. Like really really. The animation was mainly fine, some of the art could be worked on, though. Mainly the hair on the woman. It was pretty poorly made and you could have probably done way better.

GabrielBarsch responds:

i made the hair when i was lazy...but thanks and congratulations for the mothefuckin score in day of the madness

That's right

I thought it was hilarious. Sure there's a bit of racism, but those are jokes, there's no actual hostility.
In the end, the idea of a fat sumo smashing zombies and sending them flying all over the place will always be hilarious.

nggangsterpimp responds:

Lmfao. Great man. Great.
